The Cisco Catalyst 6500 Secure Socket Layer Services Module (SSLSM) accelerates the performance and enhances the security of web-enabled applications, enabling secure content networking that is easily integrated into existing Layer 2 3 networks.
This course provides the knowledge and skills that you need to design, configure, and troubleshoot content networking solutions secured by the SSLSM.

- Explain how SSL offload enables load-balancing of encrypted sessions
- Explain how the SSLSM optimizes the management of certificates
- Differentiate between configuration modes based on the presence or absence of a CSM
- Describe the standalone and integrated-redundancy options
- Configure PKI resources for the SSLSM
- Configure SSL server proxy services
- Configure HSRP to provide redundancy for SSLSMs
- Describe the process of integrating an SSLSM with a CSM, including network architecture, advantages, and troubleshooting
- Describe the policy configurations available on the SSLSM
- Explain back-end SSL encryption
