Implementing and Configuring Cisco Nexus 5x00 Switches (ICNX5) v2.2 3 days Lecture/lab
Course description
In this 3-day course, you will learn how to implement Access Layer infrastructures using next-generation Cisco Nexus 5000 and 5500 switches, the Nexus 4000 and Nexus 2000 Fabric Extenders. This course provides a technical overview of the Nexus 5x00 platform features, design guidelines, deployment and operations, including Fibre Channel over Ethernet, Layer 2, QoS, and security. You will explore the features of NX-OS up to rel 5.0(2)N2.1 and the Nexus platform by performing hands-on labs using real Nexus 5000 and Nexus 2000 labs. Labs include basic FCoE configuration, NPV mode deployment, FEX and Virtual PortChannels, security in both Ethernet and FCoE environments, QoS, and troubleshooting.

Why Firefly?
We take great care to provide current and up-to-date courseware. We typically release courseware associated to a technology version very shortly after the product is in general release. We also take the ‘lessons learned” from our field teams, who are constantly deploying and migration solutions, directly into our courses.

This version of ICNX5 features new content on the recently announced Nexus 5500 series switches and the newest features supported by the NX-OS 5.0(2)N2.1 operating system, including FabricPath, multi-hop FCoE, and Layer 3 routing capabilities.
