| Course description |
In this course, networking professionals who work in complex network environments will gain the skills needed to maintain their networks and to diagnose and resolve network problems quickly and effectively. You will learn to troubleshoot and maintain particular technologies, and you will learn procedural and organizational aspects of the troubleshooting and maintenance process. A large part of the course consists of practicing these skills and reinforcing the concepts by putting them to use in a controlled environment.

- Plan and document the most commonly performed maintenance functions in complex enterprise networks
- Develop a troubleshooting process to identify and resolve problems in complex enterprise networks
- Select tools that best support specific troubleshooting and maintenance processes in large, complex enterprise networks
- Describe maintenance and fault resolution procedures for switching-based environments
- Describe maintenance and fault resolution procedures for routing-based environments
- Describe maintenance and fault resolution procedures for a secure infrastructure

| Recommended prerequisites |
- CCNA certification or familiarity with Internetworking technologies
- The ability to perform basic configuration of Cisco routers
- Knowledge of IP, including the ability to perform IP subnetting on non-octal boundaries
